Councillor Wendy Egan had her chance to shine when she appeared on Chris Evans’ Breakfast Show.

However, the Mayor of Newport Pagnell apologised to anyone who heard the interview saying she had prepared for different questions and couldn’t hear Chris properly.

She said: “We are a thriving town of 18,000 plus and I go to lots of different events. I didn’t get to express how good the town is.”
