A man was grabbed from behind and threatened with a knife in Campbell Park last week.

The 32-year-old was sitting in the seating area near the water fountain waiting for a friend when he was grabbed from behind and a man reached over his left shoulder with a knife in his hand.

At about 5pm on Friday the victim heard a man asked where his money was.

He stood up with the offender still holding him and saw a second man standing in front of him holding a hammer, who then threatened him with it, putting it up to the victim’s face.

He then noticed a third man who was standing a short distance away who was with the group.

The first two men searched the victim and stole cash from his pocket and wallet, before running off.

The victim was not injured but was left shaken by the incident.

The first man is white, aged around 27-years-old, 5ft 10ins, average build, with short dark-blond hair. He was wearing a dark blue zip up hooded top, with the hood down, denim shorts and florescent coloured socks.

The second man is also white, aged around 27 and 5ft 10ins. He has a muscular build, short dark hair and was clean shaven. He was wearing a grey t-shirt which had logo on the front left chest area and light blue jeans.

The third man, who did not take part in the robbery but was with the other two, is white, around the same age as the other two, 5ft 8ins, and chubby, with very dark coloured hair. He was wearing a long sleeved black top and carrying a black rucksack which looked like a school bag.
