A woman from Tattenhoe has died after suffering serious injuries in a road accident in Milton Keynes yesterday.
The 47-year-old was travelling as a passenger in a black Ford Focus, which was in collision with an orange/white DAF box van on the V6 Grafton Street at the junction of Oldbrook Boulevard at 11.51am.
She died shortly after the collision in Milton Keynes Hospital, where the driver of the Ford Focus, a 21-year-old man, is being treated for serious injuries and is in a critical condition.
A second passenger in the Ford Focus, a 46-year-old woman, suffered minor injuries and is also being treated at Milton Keynes Hospital.
The driver of the DAF box van, a 37-year-old man from Bletchley was treated at the scene for shock but did not require hospital treatment.
A family liaison officer has been appointed and an investigation into the circumstances of how the collision occurred has begun.
