Motorist released after three weeks in hospital
Crime
A 61-YEAR-OLD motorist, who was involved in a serious collision before Christmas has only just been released from John Radcliffe Hospital.
At about 1.45pm on December 21, a silver Ford Transit van and a silver Vauxhall Astra collided on the H4 Dansteed Way, at the junction with Capel Drive, Downs Barn.
The driver of the Astra, a 61-year-old man from Milton Keynes, suffered serious chest injuries which saw him rushed to hospital where he spent Christmas and new year.
Police have re-appealed for witnesses and are looking to speak to a lady called Julie who helped the driver at the scene.
PC Ian Leyland, who is investigating the collision, said: “Ted, who was seriously injured in the collision, was very pleased that in his time of need he was looked after by ordinary members of the public who stopped and did what they could to help.
“Ted would like to thank everyone that helped. We already have the details of a male motorist but we’d also like to speak to the lady we believe is called Julie. If she can contact me via the Police Enquiry Centre on 101 and leave a message, I will get in touch.”
