Two city care workers have won prestigious awards at a ceremony recognising their services to residents.
Nurse Anna Lesniak, and driver Barrie Coleman, both work for MK company PJ Care, which has two specialist neurological care home centres in the city, based at Bluebirds, Shenley Lodge and Mallard House, Grange Farm.
Both picked up gongs at the Great British Care Awards with Anna winning in the Frontline Care Worker of the Year category and Barrie scooping the Ancillary Care Worker of the Year.
Anna said: “It’s like being a member of a big family where everyone supports each other.
“As a team we have one goal – to provide the best quality of care to our residents.
Barrie said: “It was an amazing evening – and one I’ll never forget. I’d like to thank everyone at PJ Care who has helped and supported me in my work and made my job so happy and rewarding.”
