A pedestrian suffered a serious head injury after being involved in a road traffic collision in Bletchley on Sunday evening.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident which happened at about 9.30pm when the pedestrian, a 24-year-old man, was involved in a collision with a Smart car in Stoke Road, near the Lakes Estate.

The man was taken to hospital with a serious head injury, which is not believed to be life-threatening. He remains in hospital where his condition is described as stable.

The driver of the Smart car was uninjured.

The road was closed for around one and a half hours while officers examined the scene.

Sergeant Simon Hills, of Thames Valley Police Joint Operations Unit for Roads Policing, said: “We are appealing for anybody who may have seen the pedestrian before the collision to come forward.

“We are particularly keen to speak with anybody who saw a man wearing dark clothing who was walking along Stoke Road from the direction of Water Eaton Road towards the Lakes Estate.”

Anybody with any information about the collision should contact investigating officer PC Samantha Silk from Roads Policing on 101.
