Police called to unexplained death of Broughton man

Police were called to investigate the unexplained death of a man in Broughton earlier today.  They found the body of a 32-year-old man at a property in Goodrington Place, Broughton. Emergency services had been called to the property at around 6.40am.

Police officers immediately opened a routine investigation into the circumstances of the death.

But within hours they had ruled out foul play and confirmed that the death was not suspicious. A post mortem will now determine the cause.

It is expected the file will be handed to the Coroner’s Office for an inquest to be opened and adjourned to a later date.
