Police hunt Springfield burglars

Police are appealing for witnesses after a burglary at a house in the Springfield area of Milton Keynes.

At about 6.15pm on Sunday, December 15, offenders broke into the property in Turnmill Avenue by forcing the front door.

The noise caused the victim, who had been asleep in bed, to wake up.

Once inside, the two men carried out an untidy search of the property before entering the room where the victim was.

One man was carrying a knife and the other carried a screwdriver. They asked the victim for his mobile phone and jewellery.

The offenders then left the property taking a red Samsung Galaxy 53 mobile, Nokia mobile phone anda quantity of cash.

The men were then seen running up Turnmill Avenue towards Clerkenwell Place, turning right at the roundabout.

Both men were white. The first offender was about 5ft 8ins tall, with brown eyes. He was wearing a coloured scarf over his face, a cream baseball cap, a black jacket with a zip in the middle, black gloves and he was carrying a knife.

The second man was about 6ft 3ins tall and was wearing a black jacket, a black balaclava, cream jeans, black gloves and was carrying a screwdriver which had a red handle.

Anyone who noticed any suspicious activity around this time or has any information about this incident should call police on 101.
