Police have linked three burglaries after a series of snatch thefts took place close in just over an hour.

All three took place on February 27 and involved the theft of mobile phones. The first took place at 3.55pm in Fulwoods Drive, Leadenhall when a 15-year-old had her white Apple iPhone 4s stolen.

The second took place at 4.20pm by the Eaglestone roundabout, Chaffron Way, H7 when a 13-year-old girl had her white Apple iPhone 4s stolen

Then at 5pm, close to the Christian Centre in Oldbrook, a 13-year-old had his Nokia Lumia 520 stolen.

On each occasion the thief struck up a conversation with the victim before grabbing their phones and running off.

The offender is a black man of a slim build. He was wearing a black beanie hat which covered his hair, dark green hooded jacket with a white zip, dark coloured baggy jeans and black shoes with white soles. Police believe it may be the same offender.

Any witnesses can call police on 101 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
