Police witness appeal after burglary

Thames Valley Police is appealing for information after a burglary in Middleton on Wednesday.

At 6.24pm a house in Great Linch was broken into via a rear window.

An offender was seen on the driveway and then cycled away at speed towards the Redway leading to the Monkston and Kingston areas.

The offender was described as male aged between 15 and 20 years old, 5ft 10ins and of slim to medium build. He was wearing a hooded top with the hood up and drawn tightly around his face, a dark coloured waist length anorak or ski jacket possibly black or navy blue in colour and dark trousers. He was carrying a holdall with a wide strap slung over his left shoulder.

He was riding a bike that the witness described as looking too small for him.

A laptop, speakers and an iPod were taken.

Anyone with any information should contact Det Con Wendy Cissell via the 24-hour Thames Valley Police Enquiry Line on 101.

If you don’t want to speak directly to the police you can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or online at crimestoppers-uk.org. No personal details are taken, information is not traced or recorded and you will not go to court.
