A MAN who raped and sexually assaulted two underage girls over a 12-year period in Milton Keynes has been jailed for 14 years.

James Robert Bristow, formerly of Babbacombe Road, Torquay, appeared at Amersham Crown Court on January 18 and pleaded guilty to four counts of sexual offences on two underage girls including rape and sexual assault.

The offences took place between October 1998 and September 2010. He was arrested and charged on February 22 last year.

Bristow was jailed for 14 years and placed on the Sex Offenders Register for life.

Detective Constable Rena Richards, of the Child Abuse Investigation Unit, said: “The victims in this case were very young and justice has been done. The abuser has been incarcerated for a very long time, however the effects of what happened are incalculable.”
