Puppet to grow in time for 2012

Growing for gold: the Olympic mascot which 'absorbs' the city

The lifesize puppet that could champion Milton Keynes at the 2012 Olympics has been out and about meeting people all over the city this week.

Over the next three years, the puppet – currently the size of a child – will grow in stature as he absorbs local culture and history and meets more groups, families and organisations.

Those of you yet to meet the champ can watch the special Citizen video of him in action by clicking on the above link.

You can also follow his exploits on Facebook under his profile 'MK Champion'.

Meanwhile, readers have been sending in suggestions for the puppet's name.

Any more inspired ideas should be emailed to editorial@mkcitizen.co.uk – or by clicking here - or posted to the Milton Keynes Citizen Newsdesk, Napier House, 2 Auckland Park, Bond Avenue, Bletchley, Milton Keynes, MK1 1BU.
