A new map of the historic pubs of Stony Stratford shows a plethora of pubs in olden times.
There are also 38 artists’ impressions on the Signs of Pubs map produced exclusively for the Stani Gallery, in High Street.
It features a selection of former pubs, inns and taverns from Stony Stratford’s rich history.
They discovered some unusually named aleshouses, including The Case Is Altered, The Swan With Two Necks and Grilkes Herber!
Copies of the map will be available at the gallery on Friday, September 13, or at the Cock & Bull Beer & Cider Festival on Friday or Saturday.
A 10 per cent donation will be made to York House for every £20 map purchased.
