Two traders are to be investigated for benefit fraud following an operation enforced by Thames Valley Police last week.
Operation Rogue Trader, a jointly run task with the police and Trading Standards, launched in Milton Keynes on Thursday to catch people operating outside of the legislation law, but no one was arrested.
During the operation there were seven trading standard offences identified, which included five traders being given advice for not having cancellation notices and two are to be investigated for relevant trading document offences.
Traffic offences were also committed as one person was caught using a mobile phone, someone wasn’t wearing a seat belt and another didn’t have insurance, which resulted in their vehicle being seized.
An offence for not having a waste carriers license was carried out while four others were advised.
In total, 54 people and 47 vehicles were stop-checked during the operation.
