A group of around seven thieves attacked two people in their home by spraying them in the face with liquid from a bottle.

Police are appealing for information on the incident which took place in Teasel Avenue, Conniburrow at around 7.45pm on Sunday.

The victims, a man and woman, aged 34 and 25, went into the kitchen where they were confronted by five to seven offenders who sprayed the man in the face with a liquid from a bottle before pushing him into the living room.

One of the group then attempted to spray the liquid in the woman’s face but she ran to get help from neighbours.

Police believe the group fled on foot via an alleyway leading from Teasel Avenue to Bramble Avenue where they got into a silver BMW estate car with an 07 number plate.

The offenders were wearing dark clothes and balaclavas. No other descriptions are available at this stage and no items were stolen during the incident.

The man sustained an eye injury and was treated at Milton Keynes General Hospital. He has since been discharged.

Any witnesses can call 101.
