Severely delays after person hit by train

Train passengers travelling between London Euston, Clapham Junction and Bletchley will be delayed ‘until further notice’ after a person was hit by a train.

The incident happened between Milton Keynes Central and Bletchley stations causing major disruptions and cancellations for passengers travelling on Virgin, Southern and London Midland services.

Virgin Trains tweeted from their official Twitter page to say: “Major disruption to services to and from London Euston due to person hit by a train and overhead wire problems.”

Before the incident at Bletchley, there had already been delays of up to 45 minutes after recurring overhead wiring problems in Wolverton.

Two of the lines north of Wolverton station are closed, with two Virgin Trains having to be towed away after being stuck in the stricken section.

Keep up to date on these developments by following London Midland, Virgin Trains or British Transport Police on Twitter for travel updates
