‘Sex for tuition fees’ suspect arrested in Milton Keynes
A MAN was arrested in Milton Keynes on Friday in connection with the ‘sex for tuition fees’ scandal.
Named widely in the national press as 39-year-old Mark Lancaster, a computer consultant from Horndean, near Portsmouth in Hampshire, the man was arrested on suspicion of incitement to cause prostitution.
Metropolitan Police officers moved on a city address, which they then searched.
A Met Police spokesman said the arrest was in connection with an investigation into allegations over a website which encourages students to provide sexual services in exchange for money towards their student fees.
It followed an undercover investigation into the SponsorAScholar.co.uk website by The Independent.
The man was taken to a police station in Milton Keynes and subsequently bailed to return to a London police station in February 2013.
