Shetland Pony found on dual carriageway

editorial image

A PHOTOGRAPH of a Shetland pony has been released after it was recovered after being loose on a dual carriageway on Tuesday.

At around 1.05pm on Tuesday, February 5, a passing motorist saw the pony loose near the H8 standing way in Tattenhoe.

Officers attended and walked the pony back to the local neighbourhood police office.

The pony is currently being cared for by an approved person.

It is micro-chipped but despite this and contacting the RSPCA and Shetland pony organisations, officers have been unable to trace the owner.

Police are appealing for the owner of the pony or anyone who has information about who the owner is to come forward by calling 101.
