Now it’s even easier for caffeine fans to get their coffee fix in Milton Keynes, with the opening of a new drive-thru Starbucks at The Place Retail Park.

The store opened for business today (Friday) and some familiar faces were on hand to try their hand at making the beverages...although they are more used to dribbling on the pitch!

Mk Dons players Jordan Spence and Dele Alli joined MK Dons manager Karl Robinson and goalkeeping coach Paul Heald behind the counter for the launch.

The store has created 25 jobs, including five apprentice roles.

“We know that customers want to visit us in new places and spaces and drive-thru stores are proving very popular,” said communcations director for Starbucks, Simon Redfern.

“This new store is not only bringing fantastic coffee, but also great job opportunities to the area.”

The drive-thru will be open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, meaning that any time can be coffee time when you are on the move.
