Still time to have your say on boundary shake up

editorial image

RESIDENTS are reminded there is still time to have a say on proposals to change ward boundaries in Milton Keynes.

The independendent Local Government Boundary Commission for England is consulting on its draft proposals with recommendations the city should be represented by 57 councillors, six more than the current set-up.

It will also see changes to the ward boundaries across the city.

Max Caller, chairman of the commission, said: “Our review aims to deliver electoral equality for voters in elections to Milton Keynes Council. This means that each councillor represents a similar number of electors so that everyone’s vote in council elections is worth roughly the same regardless of where you live.”

The deadline for registering your view is March 18.
