Street hit twice in one day by burglars

Crime

Crime

DIAMOND jewellery, four passports and a man’s wedding ring were stolen during a burglary in Olney.

Thieves had tried to break into a house in Hollow Wood, between 8am and 6.30pm last Thursday, but after smashing the glass of a conservatory door they ran away.

Between 8.40am and 8pm on the same day, thieves got into a house in the same street by forcing open a ground floor rear window.

They searched the house and stole four passports, a child’s bracelet, diamond jewellery, a pendant and a man’s wedding ring.

Police are appealing for any witnesses who may have seen anyone acting suspiciously in the area on Thursday to call them on 101.

Detective Constable Wendy Cissell, from Milton Keynes police station, said: “I am appealing for anyone who has information about these incidents to come forward.”
