An 18-year-old was twice hit in the head with a baseball bat and attacked with a six-inch machete-like knife before offenders stole just £2 from his pocket.
The man and a friend were walking in Sheelin Grove, Bletchley, at 4.30pm on Friday when two men chased the friend. They then turned their attention to the victim and tried to hit him in the leg with the bat, but he blocked it.
He was then hit on the back of the head with the bat before the attacker tried to assault him with the knife. While he was on the ground he was again hit with the bat, this time on the forehead, before the money was stolen.
He was taken to Milton Keynes Hospital with a large lump on his forehead.
The main offender is white, medium build, 5ft 11in to 6ft tall, around 19-years-old with mousy brown hair. He was wearing a grey jumper, white knee-length shorts and a black baseball cap. He spoke with what could be a Scottish accent.
He was carrying the wooden baseball bat and a small machete knife with a six-inch blade.
