Theme park ready for big response
Up to 120 seasonal jobs on offer
GULLIVER'S Theme Park is expecting a giant response to its open recruitment day this Saturday.
Up to 120 jobs are up for grabs for the summer season at the popular Newlands attraction.
A similar event at Twycross Zoo, Staffordshire, earlier this month saw 3,000 people turn up for a similar number of positions, sparking traffic chaos and giant queues.
There is no suggestion demand will be as high but given the current economic situation Gulliver's is anticipating a big interest.
Managing director Julie Dalton said they were looking for people of all ages and backgrounds to fill vacancies including ride operators, catering and retail assistants, maintenance personnel, team leaders, admin assistants and entertainment staff.
"They must be enthusiastic and have the right attitude – no experience is necessary," she said.
"The leisure industry is still a strong industry despite the economic downturn. We've built our brand on great value and excellent service," she said.
The open recruitment day starts at 10am.
