Three brothers are set to cycle from Milton Keynes to Scotland and back in aid of the British Heart Foundation.

Nick Regan, and his two brothers Daniel and Chris, will begin their long journey on June 1 and aim to complete the feat in just 12 days.

In their training they cycled they have been as far as Hunstanton Beach, Norfolk, and back again covering an exhausting distance of 195 miles in 18 hours.

Nick said: “My two brothers and I started road cycling last April for the first time, we all instantly took to it and loved every moment we were on our bikes.

“We have decided to do this challenge in aid of The British Heart Foundation.

“We chose BHF because I have seen some of the great work that they do. Also I have witnessed the effects of heart disease and heart attacks to friends and family.

“I really want to be able to help BHF in anyway that I can, cycling is one of few skills I have and I would be honored to be able to raise some much needed funds for such a great cause.”

On their journey the trio will be making a visit to Sutton, Ashfield so that they can stop off and see their parents for some vital encouragement.

They are heading up the left side of the country through Birmingham, Stoke-on-Trent, Manchester, The Lake District, Carlisle, Hawick and Northumberland National Park.

On their way back down they will venture more to the right with Newcastle, Leeds, Leicester and Northampton on their route.
