Two more cases of swine flu in MK
Number of cases will rise say health officials
Two more people in the city have been struck down with swine flu.
The pair, who are members of the same family, have been described as 'recovering well at home' by NHS Milton Keynes.
It brings confirmed cases of the A H1N1 virus in Milton Keynes to three after another city case was confirmed last month.
Health officials say they have a number of plans in place to ensure local services continue to be provided throughout the pandemic.
Dr Diane Gray, deputy director of Public Health, said: "These latest cases should not cause concern amongst residents in Milton Keynes.
"It is clear that we will see the number of cases in the borough rise in the coming weeks and months."
Dr Gray reiterated the government message of 'Catch It, Bin It, Kill It' as a tactic to avoid spreading the illness.
It means you should always use a tissue to catch coughs and sneezes, before disposing of the used tissue properly and regularly washing your hands.
If you have flu-like symptoms stay at home and do not go to your GP surgery or the hospital's Accident and Emergency department.
Instead call your surgery to arrange a home visit and for more information call NHS Direct 0845 46 47 or the National Swine Flu information line on 0800 1 513 513.
