Two women were taken to hospital with serious injuries after police responded to reports of an altercation in the Fishermead area of Milton Keynes early this morning (Thursday).
Police were called to a house in Padstow Avenue at 6.45am and two women, aged 53 and 37, we taken to hospital with what are described as serious injuries.
A scene watch is currently in place at the property while enquiries continue.
Milton Keynes police commander Barry Halliday said: “I would like to reassure people in the Fishermead community that this incident is not linked with any others and appears to have been contained within one property.
“The two women were known to each other and so enquiries are continuing to work out the exact circumstances of this incident.
“Officers will be out in the community today, so if anyone has any concerns at all, please speak to them or contact your local neighbourhood team on 101.”
