Britain’s Got Talent semi-finalist Bailey McConnell stopped by to visit the Milton Keynes Citizen office to perform this afternoon.
The 15-year-old, who used to deliver the Citizen before he found fame on the ITV talent show, says he hopes to be announced as a wildcard and given the chance to perform in Saturday’s final.
At the weekend the teenage singer-songwriter from Crownhill went head to head for the judge’s vote with 79-year-old dancer Paddy and narrowly missed out on a place in this year’s final.
Despite Simon Cowell voting to put the 15-year-old through to the final, the other judges voted for the pensioner - but there are now calls for Bailey to be back in the competition.
This week, Simon, along with David Walliams, Alesha Dixon and Amanda Holden will choose one act which was knocked out of the semi-finals to return for Saturday night’s finale.
David Walliams tweeted on Monday: “I’ve had thousands of tweets today about the #BGTwildcard.
“Bailey McConnell has some amazing fans on Twitter. 99% of the tweets were about him!”
So, let’s get behind Bailey for Britain’s Got Talent’s wildcard!
