VIDEO: Spooky and kooky Halloween goings-on at Silk Road

Waiting for Video...

HALLOWEEN is fast approaching and one city restaurant is set to put on a spooky show.

Silk Road in Central Milton Keynes, is putting on a special night’s entertainment on Wednesday, October 31.

The restaurant will have a special Halloween menu for the night, including the ghoulish sounding Brain Masala – cows brains very lightly stir fried in spices.

And head chef Saj Khan has been getting the spirit of things too, as our video – above – shows.

Saj even persuaded some members of the Citizen team to give his special Brain Masala a go – with surprisingly successful results.

Deputy editor Craig Lewis said: “It is a mind over matter thing.

“As soon as you hear ‘brains’ you are on your guard, but it is actually a really tasty dish.

“It’s certainly sopmething you can tell your friends about afterwards.”

Citizen editor Olga Norford also tucked into the dish.

Olga later tweeted: ‘Very tasty - hoping it boosts the old grey matter’.

Saj said: “We have created something special for Halloween to give customers a very different, fun but tasty experience.

“The menu is delicious with a fun Halloween touch but the main part of the evening will be for customers to sample the Brain Masala, which is purely optional.

“The name can put a few people off but it is one of the most delicious dishes I have ever tried and I guarantee it will be a flavour not to be forgotten.”
