VIDEO: Mixing it up with pioneering new website

Check out the new portal for city's diverse community

Make your way to the MK Mix - the new website inspired by the regular Citizen First column which profiles people from different backgrounds who are making their mark on Milton Keynes.

The MK Mix project was the brainchild of film director Segun Oguntola, who arrived in Milton Keynes in 2008 and was struck by the diversity of the new city.

He approached the Citizen First team and a format for a regular question and answer column asking prominent MK people about their background, their hopes for the new city and their experiences as they settled here was agreed.

And the column was such a success that the MK Mix brand was used as the springboard for a new website which includes all sorts of information to help diverse and minority communities - and which also acts as an archive for all the MK Mix columns published in Citizen First.

The site also features a video report filmed on the streets of the city, which can also be viewed on this page.
