Visiting snowman raises a smile

AFTER melting hearts on the recent Christmas advert, John Lewis’ thoughtful, love-struck snowman is making his presence felt in Milton Keynes.

The heart-warming advert featured the snowman in his quest to buy a special present for his snowlady. Viewers followed him as he made the arduous trek to the nearest department store to find his beloved a much-needed scarf.

The seasonal star had been occupying centre stage in John Lewis, at the centre:mk, charming shoppers as they prepared for the big day.

He continued his journey to visit the congregation at All Saints Church in Loughton, delighting youngsters and adults alike.

Reverend Dave Bell seized the opportunity to welcome the famous snowman to his church.

The character certainly added a little something different to the congregation during the festive period. Everyone attending was pleased to see him and made sure he was given a lovely Christmas.

He posed for pictures both inside the Church and in the grounds – solo and with the gathered congregation.

The lucky snowman even joined Rev Bell and his family for their Christmas dinner.

Rev Bell said: “He was in Church with us all on Christmas Day.

“He will shortly be going to the children’s ward at Milton Keynes Hospital.”
