Volunteers needed around the city

People interested in volunteering are invited to find out more about opportunities in the city at a drop-in event in Bletchley next Friday.

The event will be held at The Saplings Children’s Centre between 12.30pm and 2.30pm and everyone who attends the event will be entered into a free draw to win a family ticket to an MK Dons match.

Children’s Centre Coordinator Victoria Parkes said: “Valuable volunteer experience could be the first step to employment and gives people the opportunity to give something back to the community. We will have experts to talk to from a range of organisations at our drop-in session and lots of information to look at and take away. We are looking forward to a really useful and interesting afternoon.”

Information will be available from organisations including MK Dons Sport and Education Trust, NHS MK, Pre-School Learning Alliance, Community Action MK and the Volunteer Centre.
