A woman has been left in a serious condition after a two car collision last night.

Firefighters released the injured woman last night after she was trapped following the collision between her silver Honda Civic and a silver BMW 320.

Crews from Great Holm and Bletchley were called to the incident in Livesey Hill, Shenley Lodge, at 8.42pm. One of the cars had crashed through a barrier and was hanging over an underpass.

The female driver of the Honda is in a serious condition and has been taken to the JR2 hospital. The driver of the BMW and a passenger sustained minor injuries and were treated at the scene.

Thames Valley Police is appealing to any witnesses to the incident to call them on 101 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111. You can also report it online at www.crimestoppers-uk.org

Watch Manager Graham Freer, the incident commander, from Great Holm Fire Station, said: “It was a difficult extrication because of the position of the vehicle.”

Firefighters remained at the scene for a further 45 minutes to make it safe.
