GREAT, great grandmother Louisa May Dean celebrated her 104th birthday with four generations of her family yesterday.

Mother of Sid, Frank, David and June, Louisa May now lives at Kilkenny House in Westcroft.

Born in Portsmouth on May 13, 1908, she now has 14 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren and three great, great grandchildren.

Louisa May married in 1929 and lived through both world wars. She worked at Plessey until she retired aged 60 and moved into Briar Lodge sheltered housing in 1981 before making the switch to Kilkenny House in 2005.

Louisa May puts the secret of her long life down to Ovaltine and brandy.

Described as having a great sense of humour, she loves singing and has a sweet tooth.
