The NHS in the South East Midlands is reviewing local health services through its Healthier Together programme.
The programme is examining how health services across Bedfordshire, Luton, Milton Keynes and Northamptonshire can be improved and can meet the future health needs of a growing and ageing local population.
Involving members of the public and taking account of their views and priorities is a key priority and the Healthier Together programme wants your help. Do you agree with the case for change that has been developed by local clinicians and patient representatives? Have you got views on how your local services can improve?
The Healthier Together programme wants to know what you think and is encouraging local residents to visit our website where you will be able to complete a short online questionnaire and read more information about the programme, how you can get involved and the case for change.
Chair of the Patient and Public Advisory Group (PPAG), Steve Lowden, said: “We really want people to get involved and tell us their views about the different health services outlined in this case for change. We are keen to discuss the reasons why we believe change is necessary with local residents and to hear which areas they feel could benefit from improvement. I hope to meet many people over the coming weeks and involve them in helping shape excellent health services for the future.”
There are also a number of other ways you can register your feedback. Why not come and meet NHS staff at any one of our forthcoming public meetings? All are welcome and encouraged to attend.
