A FORMER primary school teacher and her husband have been charged with five offences of dishonesty and fraud.

Hazel and Richard Jerome appeared on Tuesday at Exeter Magistrates Court. They are each charged with two counts of fraud through false representation and three counts of obtaining services dishonestly.

Mrs Jerome, who is 62, and 64-year-old Mr Jerome were remanded on conditional bail until the case is committed to crown court.

The couple lived at various addresses in Milton Keynes, where Mrs Jerome taught at Willen Primary School.

The alleged offences involve two properties in Devon and they are being prosecuted by Devon and Cornwall police.
