A man was forced to hand over money after he was robbed by a group of boys in an underpass on Saturday.

Police are now appealing for witnesses to the attack which happened around 4pm under the underpass of Shackleton Place. As the man, 33, walked through the underpass, he was approached by a teenager who was with a group of boys aged between eight and sixteen.

He asked him for money and the victim stated he had none and the offender then grabbed the man’s rucksack from his back and pushed him against the wall forcing him to hand over £10 and the offender and the other group ran off towards Oldbrook.

The offender is white, about 5ft 9ins, of average build, with grey eyes. He wore a blue scarf across his lower face, a dark grey hooded top with the hood up, and dark coloured jeans.

Any witnesses can call police on 101 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
