Man charged after shot fired at Bletchley home

A 24-year-old man has been charged in connection with a firearms incident in Bletchley last week.

Josh Mcateer, of High Street, Stony Stratford, was charged yesterday with one count of possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life/enable an other to do so.

It follows an incident in St Helena Avenue, Newton Leys, on August 11 when a shot was fired at the door of a property.

He was remanded to appear at Milton Keynes Magistrates’ Court today where he was further remanded to appear at Aylesbury Crown Court on August 26.

A 34-year-old man from Bletchley and a 34-year-old woman from Milton Keynes were arrested in connection with the incident.

The man was released on police bail until September 30 and the woman was bailed until September 26.
