Man charged with murder is remanded in custody

Ahmed Ahmed, the man charged with the murders of two city teenagers, has been remanded in custody after his first appearance at Luton Crown Court this morning.

The 19-year-old, of no fixed abode, was charged on Sunday, with two counts of murder in relation to the deaths of 19-year-old Mohamed Abdi Farah and 18-year-old Amin Ahmed Ismail, who were fatally shot in an alleyway on the Fishermead estate on May 26, 2011.

Ahmed appeared at Luton Crown Court and was remanded in custody until October 25.
