Emergency services were called to a report of a fire in a single-storey flat built on to a house in Buckingham Road at about midnight on Saturday.

A man in his forties was found dead at the scene.

Crews from Bletchley, Great Holm and Broughton attended, along with two officers. Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus carried the man outside and used a hose reel to put out the fire.

Thames Valley Police are not treating the death as suspicious, and an investigation is underway to establish the circumstances on behalf of the coroner.
