Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses after an assault on Sunday.

A 30 year-old man was walking towards The Point, in central Milton Keynes between midnight and 1am. When the man reached the underpass by the Milton Keynes market, he was pulled to the floor from behind by three men, who began kicking him. A member of the public intervened and the offenders ran away.

Later the victim noticed that his mobile phone and wallet were missing. The only description the victim could provide was that one of the men was white. The victim sustained a sprained left shoulder, a sprained right wrist and minor cuts and bruises.

PC Joe Wiffen said: “I am keen to speak to anyone who has information about this incident.

“We know that a member of the public intervened and I am urging that person to come forward and speak to police about what happened.”

Anyone with information should contact PC Wiffen via the 24-hour non-emergency number, 101.

If you don’t want to speak directly to the police you can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or online at crimestoppers-uk.org.
