Man’s iPhone stolen in underpass robbery

A man as had his iPhone stole after a robbery in a city underpass.

At around 2.10pm last Thursday (5/7) a 26-year-old man was walking through the underpass at Leisure & Retail Complex, between Avebury Boulevard and Grafton Gate, talking on his mobile phone, when he was approached by a man.

He pushed the victim causing him to stumble and grabbed his phone. A second man was seen to join him as they ran away.

The victim received a slight cut to his finger but did not require hospital treatment.

The mobile was a white iPhone 4S.

The offender is white, around 25 years of age, 6ft, medium build with short light brown hair. He was wearing a plain white shirt with light brown chino style trousers and was described as smart looking.

Police would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the offence, recognises the description of the offender, or who saw the offender in the area around the time of the incident.
