A MAN woke up with a hangover and a massive charity challenge after agreeing to cycle 300 miles to Paris – despite not even owning a bike.
Pete Jones, 26, got rid of the sore head but bravely stood by his decision to take on the challenge to raise money for the Muscular Dystrophy Campaign.
Pete, who works for physiotherapy equipment providing company Medicotech, knows all about helping those with muscle-wasting conditions and how important it is for them to keep their mobility.
He said: “From my job I know that living and coping with muscular dystrophy or a neuromuscular condition has a huge impact for people as there are currently no treatments or cures for these devastating and degenerative diseases.”
The money raised will be going towards the Muscular Dystrophy Campaign’s fund to build a Neuromuscular Centre in Birmingham.
Pete said: “This is going to be a huge challenge for me but I know that this new centre will improve the lives of thousands of people.”
