INTERNATIONAL Women’s Day will be celebrated in style at Radcliffe and Leon Schools next week.

As a global day, International Women’s Day recognises the economic, political and social achievements of women past, present and future.

This year the official day is March 8 and people around the world will be honouring women and working to improve the future for females in terms of equal opportunities and rights.

In the hope of inspiring women and bringing awareness of well-being, health and education to Milton Keynes, events will be held at the Radcliffe School on Saturday 5 March, 11am-3pm, and at Leon School on Sunday March 6, 1pm-4pm.

Local businesses are supporting the venture, which promises to entertain and inform visitors.

Although focused on supporting women and encouraging community involvement and access to a variety of sources of help, men are welcome too.
