THOUSANDS of people visited stadium:mk on Saturday to pay their respects to our Armed Forces.

People representing the Sea Cadets, Naval Cadets, RAF and the Army paraded before the game and at half time just days after the Poppy Appeal launched its 90th anniversary campaign.

Fans arriving before the game were treated to a display from all of the represented Armed Forces and players from both teams were welcomed on to the pitch through a ‘guard of honour’.

Veterans and current serving members of the military groups were well respected by both sets of supporters before the game and at half-time with visitors treated to a perfect game of football to round off the day as Milton Keynes Dons ran out 3-1 winners against Rochdale.
