Two men wearing burkhas threatened staff at a store in Wolverton at gunpoint yesterday.

Police received a report of a robbery at Star Fashions in The Square, at 2.10pm when it is believed two offenders, entered the shop and demanded access to the adjacent Asian Gold Store.

One of them was seen to be carrying a gun, but it is yet to be proven whether it was genuine or an imitation.

Nothing was taken during the incident.

The offenders left the scene in a black car, possibly a Fiat 500.

DS Luke Grove, who is investigating the incident, said: “I would appeal for any eyewitnesses, or anyone who can provide information that might lead to identification of the offenders to contact the police immediately.

“I would like to reassure the public that incidents of this nature are uncommon in Milton Keynes, and that the Force will conduct a thorough investigation into the crime.”

Any witnesses can call police on 101 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
