ARMED robbers who raided Fraser Hart jewellers this morning have escaped police.

Investigating officer, Detective Sergeant Luke Grove from Milton Keynes CID, said the suspects are no longer believed to be in the Central Milton Keynes area.

The raid took place at 10.16am at the store in thecentre:mk.

Three men entered the shop and broke into display cabinets before fleeing the scene with a large quantity of high value Rolex watches.

The three are all black. The first, around 6ft 1in, was wearing black clothing and was of medium build. The second wore a black jacket, blue jeans and was of medium build. The third was around 6ft. He wore a blue top and dark trousers.

DS Grove said: “We believe that the suspects are no longer in the Central Milton Keynes area. No firearms were used in the robbery and smoke that filled the shop was part of the proprietary security system.

“It is very early into our investigation. However, there is no need for the public and shoppers in the arcade to be concerned. There will be a police presence at the scene while the investigation is on-going.”
