Staff at Mercedes-Benz Milton Keynes voted unanimously to continue supporting Willen Hospice in 2014 for the ninth consecutive year.
Managing director Warren Brearley presented the keys to the new generation Mercedes-Benz A-Class to Lorna O’Herlihy, fundraising manager for Willen Hospice, yesterday.
He said: “We are very pleased to provide a safe and reliable car for Willen Hospice to use for essential day-to-day transportation work and to support the growing pro-active outreach work in the Milton Keynes community.
“The staff here decide which charities we will support each year and Willen Hospice is always on the must do list.
“We’re delighted to support the Hospice that has touched many lives of our staff and customers in Milton Keynes. Willen can be assured of our continued support now and in the future.”
In addition to the provision of a Mercedes-Benz A-Class car for essential Hospice work, the staff of over 90 are also planning greater involvement through personal volunteering.
Ms O’Herlihy said: “I was thrilled to meet Warren and the team at Mercedes-Benz and delighted that the Hospice will continue to receive a vehicle regularly from the retailer.
“Such generosity over the last nine years helps us to continue providing our high quality support services to patients, their loved ones and carers.
“We are very proud to be associated with Mercedes-Benz of Milton Keynes and we look forward to more involvement with them this year.”
