intu Milton Keynes, formerly Midsummer Place Shopping Centre, to give shoppers free wifi, superfast 4G and a new virtual shopping centre in the near future as part of a rebrand.
The first stage of the rebrand is taking place online with a brand new website www.intu.co.uk, which enables customers to buy online and collect their purchases from the centre free of charge.
Over the coming months, customers will notice exciting changes such as new signage, improved customer service and a calendar of exciting events.
Martin Hindson, General Manager at intu Milton Keynes, said: “We are very excited to be rebranding our Shopping Centre to ‘intu Milton Keynes’. Upholding our position at the heart of Milton Keynes and supporting the local community will always remain a priority but now alongside our sister centres, we will also be able to engage with national partners to bring excitement, fun and entertainment on a regular basis. This is so much more than a name change and we really look forward to welcoming you all here to experience it for yourselves.”
To celebrate the changes and kick-start the event programme, there will be a party with entertainment and activities throughout the day on Saturday, July 5 - and everyone’s invited!
Built in 2000, the Centre was acquired by intu Properties plc , which owns some of the UK’s best shopping centres in the UK, in February last year. intu Milton Keynes is home to 56 retailers, including; Debenhams, H&M, Topshop, Hollister, GAP, Zara, Superdry and Apple, and has a particularly strong reputation as the fashion quarter of the City.
The rebrand, which will see the Centre more closely aligned to intu’s other Centres around the UK, will mean customers can take advantage of a new, interactive online shopping centre – intu.co.uk.
The site aims to make customers’ lives easier by letting them order from over 1,000 brands via PC, tablet or phone at any time of day or night. Shoppers can choose home delivery or collect from the centre at a convenient time.
intu Milton Keynes will also be introducing free superfast WiFi and superfast 4G throughout the centre, in addition to better customer service for all visitors.
