On Tuesday, 22 of the latest AMG and Mercedes-Benz vehicles lined up outside Millbrook Events’ Pod venue to welcome the return of the Mercedes-Benz regional ‘ride and drive’ day.
The performance driving day, which was organised by dealerships in Bedford, Milton Keynes and Northampton, took place at Millbrook’s world renowned proving ground and saw 150 guests impressed by the capabilities of the cars on a variety of tracks and terrains.
Guests were given the opportunity to take the cars for a spin on Millbrook’s High Speed Circuit; were able to exploit the agility and road holding of the vehicles on the Alpine Hill Route; put the SUVs to the test in the extreme conditions of the challenging Off-Road Track and took the cars to their limit with an exciting pro driver experience around the Outer Handling Circuit.
Matthew Penning, Ride and Drive event guest, said: “The amazing tracks at Millbrook really enabled Mercedes to safely show off the speed, agility and control of the vehicles.”
The entire event was led by Millbrook Events’ senior events manager and account manager, Meena Chander, who managed the planning and operations of the day.
She said: “I am thrilled to have taken the event up a gear (excuse the pun) since last year, and I hope that we will continue to work with Mercedes-Benz on similar events in the future.
“Millbrook’s four purpose built venues hold up to 1,250 people, and with the vast test track facilities we are able to provide our clients with a flexible, confidential and secure events space.”
