Young carers were given a fun thank you last month, when a party was thrown for them by Milton Keynes masons.
Representatives of the nine lodges and three chapters at the Masonic Centre in Queensway, Bletchley, threw a party for 80 children and teenagers who shoulder the burden of looking after a sick relative.
Organiser Mick Blane said: “We wanted to give them an afternoon off from their responsibilities for just one afternoon, because they typify our masonic principles of friendship, decency, and charity.
“They are all heroes in our eyes.”
